Created using dried fragrant botanicals, Impepho is traditionally burned in sacred ceremonies to cleanse, heal, bless and communicate with the ancestors.
As a symbol of respect to those who were here before us, we made hand tied botanical bundles using foraged Kooigoed.
Burn with respect when you want to invite good energy in.
Instructions:
Place the botanical bundle on any heat-proof burning surface.
Light one end of the bundle until it begins to smoke.
If a flame appears, shake the bundle gently or blow until it is just embers and smoke.
If it stops smoking, re-light the bundle.
Leave it in one place, or move through the space carefully and intentionally as you wave the smoke.
Never leave a burning bundle unattended.
